Dennis E. Vogan was born November 28, 1949 and graduated from Salina High School in 1967. Enlisting in the Kansas Air National Guard in 1967, he used the skills he'd obtained at an early age in airplane mechanics. Dennis learned to fly a single engine aircraft at 16. His father, Clifford Vogan was a professional pilot for Evans Grain company and taught Dennis to fly. By 1968 Dennis had his commercial pilot's license, flight instructor and instrument ratings for single and multi-engine airplanes.

Earning his way through college by teaching flying, Dennis graduated with a dual degree in Business and Economics from Marymount College in 1973. Dennis went to work for Evco Distributing Inc., as a pilot and agricultural equipment salesman in the agribusiness industry in 1975. From 1975 to 1983 he was in the equipment sales area and transitioned into the real estate brokerage of grain elevators and retail fertilizer plants. In 1983 an opportunity arose for Dennis to start his own company within the same building, The Board of Trade Building. In the summer of 2003 the company was moved to Overland Park, Kansas for better access to national transportation.

Dennis and his wife Linda, now live in Overland Park, Kansas. Dennis enjoys flying his Beech Baron, playing golf, and traveling with Linda.
